King Ludwig’s Castle, the Bavarian restaurant at Disney Village inspired by the castle of Ludwig II of Bavaria, closed for good on 8 January 2023. The building was redesigned and, since 17 February 2023, it has been home to The Royal Pub, a restaurant inspired by English pubs.
The Royal Pub, the restaurant that replaced King Ludwig’s Castle
The Royal Pub is a table-service restaurant and bar in the same spot as the former King Ludwig’s Castle. The decor feels like a British pub, with few Disney touches. A refurbished terrace lets you eat outside in good weather.
The Royal Pub menu
The menu covers the pub classics:
- Starters: onion rings, cheese sticks, chicken wings, garlic bread.
- Mains: fish and chips, burgers, club sandwiches, Guinness-braised beef, curry-style dishes, pies.
- Vegetarian: mushroom pie, mac and cheese and plant-based dishes.
- Desserts: Eton Mess, brownies, sundaes.
- Drinks: draught and craft beers, cider, wine, cocktails and mocktails, tea and coffee.
There is also a kids’ menu. Prices change often, so check the current menu in the Disneyland Paris app before you go.
Booking The Royal Pub
You usually do not need to book, but reservations are available on the Disneyland Paris website and app. During school holidays and busy weekends, book a few days ahead.
Where to find The Royal Pub at Disney Village
The pub is in the former King Ludwig’s Castle building, in the same location:
