For years, a synthetic ice rink was set up every winter in front of the Disney Hotel New York, open to all visitors from 3pm to 10pm. It disappeared with the hotel’s major refurbishment, which turned it into Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel in 2021. If you are looking for somewhere to skate at Disneyland Paris in 2026, the answer is simple: there is no longer an ice rink on site.
Why the Disney Hotel New York ice rink disappeared
The hotel closed in 2019 for two years of works, and its theme changed: from New York City to the art of the Marvel Super Heroes. The project removed the ice rink to make room for a lawned outdoor area.
In 2026, there is no ice rink among the hotel’s facilities, nor anywhere else on the resort.

For hotel guests, relaxing now means the Metro Pool, a heated indoor and outdoor pool with sauna, steam room and hot tub. The Metro Health Club is there for fitness fans, and the Hero Training Zone is a multi-sport court. Kids can also draw their own heroes at the Marvel Design Studio.
Winter activities at Disneyland Paris in 2026
With no ice rink, winter happens in the parks. From 7 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, Disney’s Enchanted Christmas brings a 24-metre tree to Town Square, a Christmas parade twice a day and artificial snow on Main Street, U.S.A. For the first time, Christmas also reaches World of Frozen at Disney Adventure World, with a decorated Arendelle village and a Christmas choir.
Where to ice skate near Disneyland Paris
There is no Disney ice rink in 2026. In winter, several towns in Seine-et-Marne and many Paris neighbourhoods set up temporary ice rinks, with dates and prices that change every year. Check the town hall or tourist office website of the town where you are staying to see what is on.
