Planet Hollywood at Disney Village, with its film costumes and celebrity handprints, closed on 7 January 2023. Its building at the entrance to Disney Village is being turned into a large Italian restaurant, Casa Giulia, expected in late 2026.
Why Planet Hollywood at Disney Village closed
The closure is part of the wider makeover of Disney Village under way since 2023: Café Mickey became the Rosalie brasserie, King Ludwig’s Castle became The Royal Pub, and Rainforest Café is due to close at the end of 2026. Planet Hollywood will not reopen.
Casa Giulia, the Italian restaurant replacing Planet Hollywood
Casa Giulia is run by Groupe Bertrand, which also operates Rosalie. The announced plans: 2,500 m² over two floors, a 120-seat terrace and generous Italian food with seasonal menus. A second space, Giulia Express, will sell pizza by the slice, focaccia, pastries and Italian ice cream to eat in or take away.
Prices and the exact opening date have not been announced yet. We will publish the Casa Giulia menu as soon as it opens.
Where to eat at Disney Village in the meantime
For Italian food, Vapiano is still open at Disney Village, with pasta and pizza between €13 and €20. For a buffet, La Grange at Billy Bob’s serves all-you-can-eat Tex-Mex for €40 per adult, as described in our guide to La Grange at Billy Bob’s.
Updated: October 2026.
